2024 Chinese New Year Celebration

2023 Chinese New Year Table Tennis Invitational Tournament

On February 11, 2022, 28 children participated in our Chinese New Year Table Tennis Invitational Tournament. The young players in six groups fought against each other, exercised their skills and increased their experience. Through the competition, the children not only became teammates, but also friends. In the end, four children won the first place in the three districts. They are: Chen Liao, Zhao Jiaqi, and Li Yisheng. Congratulations to them! Thanks to the two coaches Liu Gang and Steve Yen for their careful guidance, and at the same time, I would like to express my gratitude to the 7 referees for their outstanding work!

Westlake Library Cultural Festival

West Lake Chinese School 2023 Spring Festival Gala

With the joint efforts of all students, parents, teachers and volunteers, the 2023 Spring Festival Gala of Westlake Chinese School was a complete success. We are also honored to invite Senator Matt Dolan of Ohio, Mayor of Westlake Dennis Clough, Superintendent of Westlake School District Dr. Scott Goggin and Mrs. Goggin, President of the Westlake School Board, Liz Pirnat and Vice President of the Westlake School Board,
Barbara Leszynski and Mr. Leszynski. The Westlake Police Department sent police to protect the safety of our event, and the Dream Band also came all the way from Solon to join our celebration.

For this Spring Festival Gala, all the teachers, students and parents sacrificed a lot of spare time to rehearse. Several volunteers (and their family members) stayed up all night to prepare for the Spring Festival Gala. Some volunteers worked all day from 8am to 9pm on the event day. Shout out to all of them who made this event successful.

I wish all teachers, students, parents, and performers a happy Chinese New Year and a prosperous Year of the Rabbit! Hope our school is getting better and better!
